Studies in Ephesians is a fantastic complement to Mullins' guide to Colossians. As with Studies in Colossians, it contains a concise study guide as well as review questions and a note to pastors and professors who may be using the resource.

“The son of perdition” means one destined to perdition (John 17:12). “Children of wrath,” in our passage, means those exposed to the wrath of God. Doctor Abbott argues that there is no reference here to the wrath of God, since Paul in the next sentence gives special emphasis to the love of God; but in Romans 1:18–32, Paul very clearly describes the wrath of God against sinners.
